The MWCC is currently looking for the following project volunteers:
Board MembersCurrently there are two openings for board members. We are lowkey, meet third tuesday of each month at 7pm-9pm, with about 2-3 hours of "homework" outside of the meetings.
Education Material
MWCC has two detailed natural resource inventories. We are looking for someone to coordinate their development into classroom ready materials. Eventually we would like to target middle school, high school, and elementary levels. There are two aspects to this project: Development of the educational material and Sponsorship/Fundraising for production and distribution.
Building/Placing Map & Visitor Log Boxes
MWCC would like to put visitor logs and maps of trails at the various Access points to the Bear Pond Natural Area. If you have extra mailboxes, carpentry skills, or non-pressure treated lumber, the group would greatly appreciate your donation. We are looking for Six to Eight mailbox style kiosks.
