This parcel was given to the Mascoma Watershed Conservation Council in November 2003 by Kathe Arzdorf, in memory of her late husband, Siegfried Arzdorf.

The Arzdorf property is a 13.9 acre parcel that rests along Goose Pond Road. MWCC and UVLT put a conservation easement on this property to help insure that a natural link exists to the 923 acre Bear Pond Natural Area, the 216 acre Mascoma State Forest, and 339 acres of other permanently conserved land. The property has about 2800 feet of frontage on Little Goose Pond and Goose Pond Brook, which will provide breeding ground for waterfowl, songbirds, and amphibians.

Arzdorf02: Transfer of the Deed from K. Arzdorf to MWCC

The Upper Valley Land Trust and a grant from the New England Natural Areas and Wildlife Grants Program of the Fund for the Environment helped to complete this conservation project.
